My Personal Experience Using STEEZY

As I have mentioned a few times in this review, I came to STEEZY as an absolute beginner. In fact, I was quite dubious about my ability to even nail anything. But, I went ahead and pushed past my perceived limitations and started with the 10-day beginner program.

I'm a beginner!

I immediately loved that they start with the absolute basics like how to be on beat and what the beat actually is. Who knew there were aspects that you needed to understand first before even taking one dance step?

Video 1 really helps you to identify the fundamentals of finding a beat and counting before you even begin moving your body, which I found to be incredibly helpful as a beginner.

Side note, my 5-year old found me working on my dancing with STEEZY and he was so excited to jump in and learn with me! STEEZY is honestly great for people of all ages. In fact, I’m pretty sure he picked up the movements before me!

If you are truly interested in learning how to dance, STEEZY will 100% get you there. Overall, I am blown away by the level of detail in the technology as well as in the programming that’s offered within the app. I’ll be honest, I really didn’t think dancing was for me, but there’s so much skill and precision that goes with it, that I found it to be such a fun challenge and a great way to mix up my fitness routine.

I never expect you to just take my word for it, so I always take a look around the internet to get a feel for what other real users are saying about their experience. Since STEEZY is an app, a good place to check reviews is inside the app store.

When it comes to STEEZY reviews, there are currently 9.4k ratings in the Apple app store with an average rating of 4.7/5. Reading through the reviews, it’s overwhelmingly evident that those new to dancing are finding exactly what they need. The overall sentiment is that the app features that allow for total customization of the classes are helping people really to be able to legitimately learn to dance at their own pace, and I couldn’t agree more.

Of course, I did see a couple of reviews that gave less than 5-stars, however, the majority of those were still highly complimentary of the app, but complained that the videos were laggy. In my experience, this is usually attributed more to the person’s internet speed and quality than to the app itself. Also, I noticed that those reviews were left over a year ago, and I imagine the quality has only improved since then as I have had zero issues with the video quality.

Worth It? My Final Verdict

With over one million downloads and 12,000+ ratings with an average rating of 4.7/5 stars, and not to mention their 1,000+ classes, 10+ beginner-friendly dancing programs and over 100 talented instructors, STEEZY is well worth the price.

Although my experience with STEEZY is new, I will most definitely continue to use and explore the app, learning to dance as I go. I honestly never considered myself someone who had the capability to dance well, and while I’ll likely never be on Dancing With The Stars, I am happy to report that I can, indeed, learn some movements and have a lot of fun in the process.

STEEZY offers a great resource for dancers at all stages, providing plenty of resources to progress through your dancing journey at a pace that’s comfortable and efficient for you, while also allowing you to get a great workout in.
